Self-care isn’t just spa days and bubble baths—it’s the small, intentional choices you make every day to take care of your body and mind. Nourishing yourself is one of the most powerful (and overlooked) forms of self-care, and it doesn’t have to be complicated.
Here are 5 simple, doable ways to feed your body and soul—starting today.
1. Eat Consistently & Regularly
This may sound obvious, but plenty of people skip it—especially breakfast, according to the center of disease control roughly 15% fof adults over 20 are skipping breakfast. Eating regularly means you’re having your meals around the same time each day, and consistently means you’re actually making it happen. Your body thrives on rhythm, and giving it steady fuel is a form of self-care you can’t underestimate.
2. Plan Your Meals (Even a Little Bit Counts)
Meal planning doesn’t have to be an hours-long Sunday project. It can be as simple as thinking the night before: What will I have for breakfast? What’s for lunch? This little bit of forethought can make a big difference when the day gets busy.

3. Lean on Convenience Without Guilt
Convenience doesn’t mean “unhealthy.” It means smart choices that work for your time, energy, and budget. Think paper plates for less cleanup, frozen or canned goods (check sodium and labels), meal delivery kits, or one-pot recipes.
For me? Give me a one-pan sheet meal with minimal dishes any day. Your future self will thank you.
4. Talk About Your Nutrition
Sometimes we get so caught up in what we’re eating that we forget to explore the why and how. Working with a dietitian, nutritionist, or health coach gives you space to reflect, uncover habits, and get personalized strategies for your lifestyle and goals.
You deserve that kind of support. Book a free 15-minute nutrition consultation with me and let’s get clear on what works best for you.
5. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Water is one of the most powerful nutrients for your metabolism, mood, energy, and stress levels—yet it’s often the most overlooked.
Every year I host my Thirst Check Challenge because drinking enough water is a game changer for how you feel. Start today—your body will notice the difference.
The takeaway: Self-care doesn’t have to be a grand production. These simple, nourishing habits will help you feel more energized, less stressed, and more in tune with your body—without adding more to your already full plate.
