No Added-Sugar Banana Nut Bread

Banana nut bread is one of my favorite baked goods. The sweetness and fluffiness that melt in mouth when eating banana nut bread is uncomparable. This recipe is vegan friendly and has zero added sugar, making it more nutritious compared to other banana nut bread recipes. Another added nutritious bonus is that is has minimal refined flour since whole wheat flour is used ( as opposed to white flour), which adds more vitamin Bs and fiber!

Let's compare the sugar content of banana nut bread from Starbuck's shall we? The average Starbucks banana nut bread has 52 grams of carbohydrates per serving and 30 grams of that is from added sugar! This equates to about 8 teaspoons of sugar and is over the recommended amount to consume in a day for women... that's alot of sugar for one food item. Crave with Carlie's recipe, yes you guessed, has zero added sugar, and 100% natural sugar.

I hope you find this recipe not only nutritious but delicious to add to your morning breakfast or night time tea routine. I like to spread a bit of jam on it for some more natural sweetness (Crofters Organic Apricot Jam, is the only jam I have found so far that does not contain any added sugar). Please share with me if you use this recipe to make a healthy alternative to banana nut bread.
